The Name

Columbia 78 record label for Tin Roof Blues by Sol Hoopii's Novelty Trio

Our name comes from "Tin Roof Blues." Sol Hoʻopiʻi's Novelty Trio recorded it in Los Angeles in 1927, on steel guitar, guitar and ukulele. "Hula Blues" was on the other side of the record, and we play both.
